​This personal passion project aimed to design and fabricate a custom animatronic that could be controlled either manually or through pre-programmed animations. Wall-E has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, so bringing him to life was an incredibly exciting and challenging opportunity.​ This design was developed in SolidWorks from the ground up, with all custom components being 3D printed. For the controls, I used an Arduino Uno to dictate and monitor servo motor position. The animatronic has a total of 9 degrees of freedom (DOF) to allow for extensive character expression. Further modifications are being made to improve animation performance and develop designs for the remainder of the body.
