Waterloop
Waterloop is a student led design team at the University of Waterloo that aims to bring high speed intracontinental transportation to reality. The team works on developing iterative generations of hyperloop pods to compete in national and international competitions. As the Guidance sub-team leader, I manage a group of seven in developing the guidance system of the hyperloop pod. This system ensures the pod maintains its position on the track. My work has involved designing and managing the integration between the top guidance, lateral guidance, braking, and levitation systems. This design team exposes members to advanced CAD modelling/assembly, GD&T for machining/manufacturing, and static FEA simulations to ensure the safety of the pod meets regulation standards.
